Day 1: Surabaya – Madakaripura Waterfalls – Cemara Lawang village

You will be picked up either at your hotel in Surabaya or at Juanda International Airport Surabaya. A good time to start is 09:00. 
In about 3 to 4 hours you will be driven to Cemara Lawang. A village at the edge of the ancient caldera.
On route to mount Bromo you can visit the Madakaripura Waterfalls. A visit is only possible if it isn't raining or if it hasn't been raining. Water supply is too much and therefore dangerous during raining conditions.
When in Cemara Lawang, you can explore this remarkable Hindu Tenggerese village with your driver. Or, have a laid back afternoon at your hotel.
As Cemara Lawang is situated at the edge of the ancient caldera, one can find many good spots to witness sunset over the Bromo area....

Day 2: Bromo sunrise – Sand sea – Luhur Poten temple – top of mount Bromo – Bondowoso

Be ready at 03:00. By private Jeep you will be heading to mount Pananjakan.
Enjoy the scenery over the active volcano Bromo while the sun rises at the top of Pananjakan viewpoint.
After sunrise you will continue and head down into the caldera to cross the black volcanic ashen Sea of Sand. You will have to navigate through this landscape get near mount Bromo.
After parking you walk in about 45 minutes to the top of mount Bromo.After enjoying Bromo you will be heading back to Cemara Lawang to have breakfast at your hotel. Checking out, you depart to Bondowoso city where you will spend the night. We recommend to have a break at the winding road over the Arak-Arak Hills.

Day 3: Bondowoso – Paltuding – Ijen Crater Lake – drop Ketapang harbor (ferry to Bali)

After a short nights rest, you will depart at 02:00 to Paltuding. The drive takes about 2 hours.
At Paltuding you start hiking to the Ijen Crater Lake. The hike will take about 1.5 hours. On your way to the top you will encounter sulfur miners. Most miners wheel their sulfur down the slopes to the weighing area just behind the parking lot.
Have a break once back at the parking lot. A cup of coffee with a local snack.
Then drive in about 1.5 hours to Ketapang harbor, where one can hop on the ferry to Bali. On your way to the harbor you will visit a coffee plantation and a waterfall. You will arrive at Ketapang around noon.
